Experiment with Lilypad

Today, we have tried the vibration motor and the 3-axis accelerometer module(MMA7361) with a Lilypad because we would like to use a lilypad to control those sensors. These material are lightweight and small, it's could fit the size of our device and reminds user in the form of vibrations when slouch. Also, we have used laser-cut to cut out our design and see are the sensors fit into the design.

On the other hand, the device will be alerted if the user's posture is not correct so they have interviewed our classmates for what time that they will think acceptable when their posture are not correct and the motor will be warning them to stay back. And they said that they will feel acceptable if the motor will send the alert when they stay beyond the unacceptable angle more than 5 seconds. Therefore, they set the time into the sensor and there is a video for demo the situation when the user is slouched.
